    For visitors, Starý Smokovec is a starting point for tourist destinations such as valleys, basins, peaks, lakes or lakes. The number of interesting places in the surroundings is really diverse, you just have to decide where to go.  

    Among the favourites of local hikes are, for example, the hike to the high Tatra peaks such as the Slavkovský štít, as well as to the magical Studenovodské waterfalls or the popular Hrebienok. Mountain huts are also popular, and there are more of them in the vicinity of Starý Smokovec than you can count on one hand. 

    Visitors enjoy a wide selection of winter activities such as skiing, cross-country skiing or ice skating in the winter months. In addition to winter sports and hiking, visitors are also interested in the area's various attractions and cultural points of interest. Above all, it is the Tatra House on Hrebienok, where you can look forward to meticulous work and remarkable details of the icy beauties that will enhance your experience of visiting it.

    The summer also brings many activities and attractions for visitors, especially those with smaller children, with whom it is worth visiting the Bear Days or the magical Tricklandia. Cycling lovers will also be delighted, in the surroundings of Starý Smokovec you can fully enjoy 11 types of cycling routes with a length of up to 45 km. The charming Tatranská magistrála, which is the longest hiking trail in the Tatra National Park, is certainly worth trying; we recommend the hiking section from Hrebienok to Skalnate pleso.
