1 August | Tatra Grill Party with Tatratea, Tatranská Lomnica – Outdoor grill, traditional Slovak specialties and wine on the terrace of Koliba Kamzík Restaurant, Hotel Kukučka. Children’s activities. Free entry. 15:00–20:00.

8 August | Children's Festival, High Tatras – Town event for the little ones featuring a Koliba Kamzík food stall with Tatra specialities.

22 August | Coffee & Cocktails at Monte Móry, Štrbské Pleso – A summer afternoon at the panoramic café — coffee specialities and refreshing drinks. Free entry.

29–30 August | End of Cultural Summer, High Tatras – A farewell to the summer season. Look forward to the Koliba Kamzík stall with its traditional menu.

SEPTEMBER

12 September | New Wine Under the Sky at Monte Móry, Štrbské Pleso – Closing of the grilling season with young wine, burčiak and children's entertainment. Free entry.

26 September | Game Dinner at Hotel Kukučka, Tatranská Lomnica – An exclusive 4-course tasting menu featuring wild game specialities paired with Slovak wines. Limited seats — more info coming soon!

Medvedie dni (Bear Days)

25 – 26 July 2026 (Saturday – Sunday) | Hrebienok, High Tatras

One of the most beloved family events in the High Tatras is back! Bear Days are packed with fun, games, competitions and theatre shows for the whole family. This year's theme is the adventure family game "The Secret of the Lost World" with 10 interactive stations.

Admission is FREE. The funicular from Starý Smokovec will take you comfortably up to Hrebienok. We recommend buying tickets online at least 3 days in advance at www.gopass.travel and save up to €6.

You'll also find our Koliba Kamzík restaurant in Starý Smokovec. Before heading up or after returning from Bear Days, enjoy a hearty Slovak lunch or dinner in a pleasant mountain setting. The perfect place to recharge after a full day of adventure!

Come and relax, create and take home a unique memory of our mountains. A series of free open-air art workshops under the artistic guidance of Miriam Veselá and Martin Tamasfi. Inspiration, creativity and an unforgettable experience guaranteed!

June – August 2026 | Poprad Culture that connects – Poprad comes alive in summer!

In summer 2026, Poprad once again transforms into a vibrant cultural hub full of music, entertainment and fairy tales. The main square and the House of Culture have a rich programme in store for the whole family.

Every Friday evening, the main square comes alive with live music from the best Slovak and Czech performers. Look forward to concerts by Fragile, Desmod and Adam Ďurica.

🏰 Fairy Tale Saturdays

House of Culture | every Saturday at 10:00 AM

Saturday mornings belong to the little ones! Every Saturday, the House of Culture hosts a fairy tale theatre performance – come with your children and experience the magic of live theatre.

Summer Rides on Historic Trams

July – August 2026 | Poprad – Starý Smokovec – Tatranská Lomnica – Štrbské Pleso

Hop aboard the legendary Tatra historic trams Kométa and Trojča and travel back 100 years in time! Enjoy the High Tatras from the open windows of a historic train and experience a sense of nostalgia like no other.

🟢 Tram Kométa runs every Saturday on the route Poprad – Starý Smokovec – Tatranská Lomnica from 4 July – 29 August 2026.

🔴 Tram Trojča runs every Sunday on the route Poprad – Štrbské Pleso from 5 July – 30 August 2026.

Tickets can be purchased directly from the conductor when boarding or during the journey. Exact timetables can be found on the poster below.

Journeying Through the History of the High Tatras Region

Free guided tours with a professional guide

Discover the stories hidden behind the facades of the Tatra mountain resorts. Every two-hour tour is led by a professional tourist guide and admission is completely free.

Did you know that Franz Kafka, Emil Zátopek and Fraňo Kráľ once stayed in Tatranské Matliare? Which resort is the oldest, where do mineral springs rise, where stands the oldest mountain hut, or why do the Smokovce resorts bear the sun in their coat of arms? Every resort has its own unique story – and this programme will reveal it to you.

The tours take place during July and August 2026 across several Tatra resorts – from Tatranská Lomnica through Štrbské Pleso all the way to Tatranská Javorina. Exact dates and meeting points can be found on the attached poster.

Exercise for Health – Summer Series 2026

Movement, health and energy in the heart of the High Tatras

Come and relax this summer, get your body and mind moving, and recharge with fresh energy in the stunning surroundings of the High Tatras. Regular exercise sessions led by experienced instructors await you, suitable for both beginners and advanced participants. Admission to all sessions is free of charge.

Exercise equipment is available free of charge – comfortable clothing is recommended. Each session lasts 1 hour. Exact dates can be found on the attached poster.
