    Thanks to its convenient location, the modest village of Veľký Slavkov is ideal for visitors who want to enjoy quiet, undisturbed evenings while exploring the beauty of the surrounding countryside. 

    The lucrative location of Veľký Slavkov is reflected in the very easy transport directly to the Tatra destinations and the centre of Poprad. By car, bus or Tatra electric railways you can comfortably transport to the most famous parts of the High Tatras such as Starý Smokovec, Tatranská Lomnica or Štrbské Pleso. The bus stop and the Tatra Electric Railway stop are just a few minutes walk away.

    Veľký Slavkov is only 4km from one of the most famous towns of eastern Slovakia, Poprad. The close proximity to the city makes it easy for visitors to access many historical, cultural or sporting institutions. A popular attraction is the AQUACITY Poprad aquapark, which is worth a visit in the summer and winter months. In addition to swimming pools with water slides, there is a gym, wellness and sauna world. Shopping fans are definitely recommended to visit the city centre, where they will find a wide selection of shops and the popular Forum shopping centre. The Max shopping and business centre is a short walk from the centre, where you will find the popular Cinemax cinema chain. 

    During the summer months, visitors are attracted by hiking or walking and the long kilometres of cycling trails around the Tatra Mountains. In the wider surroundings, we recommend visiting the area of Východná, where the most famous open-air museum Pribylina is located. The place creates an atmosphere of ever-living folklore full of dancing, singing and colourful costumes, especially at the time of summer festivals. It is also worth stopping in other well-known towns such as Kežmarok, which is famous for its historic churches and castle, and Spišská Nová Ves, where one of the most famous historical monuments stands - Spišský hrad.
