ROHÁČE (WESTERN TATRAS)
Roháče offer ideal conditions for hiking. You can make simple hikes in the valleys (one of the most beautiful hikes is around the mountain lakes of Roháčske plesá) as well as demanding hikes on the ridges of the most beautiful part of the High Tatras.  Basic starting points for hikes are the chalets of Zverovka (Zuberec) or Oravice
OBLAZY MILLS – THE VALLEY OF KVAČIANSKA DOLINA
Oblazy are located in the picturesque valley of Kvačianska dolina. This landmark is one of gems of Slovakia and it is a favourite destination for visitors of all age categories. Mills are a part of an educational path in the valleys of Prosiecka and Kvačianska dolina. From there we can continue through the valley of Kvačianska dolina to the village of Kvačany, or through the valley of Borovianka to the village of Veľké Borové. We can also continue in direction to the village of Huty and the Western Tatras.
ARCHAEOLOGICAL OPEN-AIR MUSEUM OF HAVRÁNOK
A reconstructed part of the Celtic settlement of Cotinis from the 1st century BC. The archaeological location is placed on the hill of Úložisko close to the water reservoir of Liptovská Mara.
ORAVA CASTLE
Orava castle is one of the most beautiful castles in Slovakia, located in the village of Oravský Podzámok, rising on a steep limestone cliff 112 m above the Orava river. It is a distinct landmark of the Orava region and it is one of the most significant landmarks of castle construction in Slovakia. Orava castle is one of the most attractive castles in Slovakia with three entrance gates and a tunnel under which a tangle of accessible underground passages is located. Its night scary shows and various theatre performances are popular. The castle houses a museum of the Orava region with archaeological, scientific, ethnographic or historical displays.
MUSEUM OF ORAVA VILLAGE
The museum is situated in an exquisite area situated at the foot of the Roháče mountains. Initially there was no house standing at the place of the current museum. In 1967 a museum started to be built here where houses from various Orava villages were gradually replaced. More than 50 constructions of folk architecture are built here in several units, copying individual parts of Orava. The museum also contains different technical constructions such as a mill, oil plant, etc. You can also find here a wooden Gothic church of St. Elizabeth of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, dated from the early 15th century. The objects contain original ethnographic displays and examples of folk craft production.
FRANTIŠKOVA HUTA
Františkova huta (locally known as Hámor) is a Slovak technical landmark which is a part of the cadastral territory of Nižná, located 2 km from the village of Podbile which became its owner in 2009.
It is a ruin of a factory hall of former metalworks built in 1836. External walls and a central blast furnace have remained from the object, popularly known as hámor. You may connect your visit with a nice walk or use microbus transportation. Night events, such as a New-Year’s Eve nigh at hámor, are a unique experience. In late August shows of iron ore melting using an ancient technology are held here annually

ZVEROVKA – SPÁLENÁ
The ski resort of Zverovka – Spálená is placed in the region of Western Tatras  - Roháče. Thanks to its excellent location in the mountain valley of Roháče, this place features outstanding snow conditions also in periods when there is no snow anywhere else. The ski resort offers optimum conditions for all categories of skiers and snowboardists. It is equipped with a modern cable-car and ski lifts. Motor vehicles have a direct access to the ski centre. Most ski slopes are maintained and provided with technical snow on a daily basis. The following services are available in the centre: ski service, ski rent, ski equipment shop, buffet and a parking place.
SKI CENTRE ZUBEREC – JANOVKY
The centre is located in the village of Zuberec, location Janovky. It is suitable for all categories of skiers and ideal for families. Ski slopes are well-maintained and provided with technical snow; that makes skiing possible also in periods when there is not enough snow. Night skiing (with the ski slope lit) is very popular as well. The following services are available in the centre: ski service, ski rent, ski equipment shop, buffet and a parking place.

The centre is located in the village of Zuberec. It is suitable for all categories of skiers with the exception of more demanding skiers. Ski slopes are well-maintained and provided with technical snow; that makes skiing possible also in periods when there is not enough snow. Night skiing (with the ski slope lit) is very popular as well.

CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING
Cross-country skiing is very popular on well-maintained tracks around Zuberec, leading up to Zverovka.
